The Adolescent Education Program is delivered by Girl Up Initiative Uganda (GUIU), a Kampala based nonprofit founded in 2012. Our mission is to build a vibrant movement of girls and young women through transformative leadership, sexual and reproductive health education, and skills development.

Monica co-founded Girl Up Initiative Uganda in 2012 to respond to the limited life choices and opportunities among adolescent girls and young women in under-served areas of Uganda. She is a widely recognized social entrepreneur and a respected advocate for girls' education in Uganda and globally.
